Hiroshima Mint Bureau Flower Path

The Yaezakura at the Hiroshima Mint Bureau announces the arrival of spring
These cherry blossoms were transplanted to the Hiroshima branch from the famous "Sakura no Tooriduke" in Osaka in 1967. The public opening began in April 1991 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Mint Bureau as the trees became vigorous. It has established itself as a spring tradition. This year's blossoms feature a rich variety of 65 types and 210 trees, which is a reason for its popularity. This year's flowers are from the home of Mr. Yaeemon Kake located in Akiota Town, Yamagata District, Hiroshima Prefecture. The color is light pink "Kakezakura".
