Weekend Cinema August: 'Nagaoka Great Fireworks: Launch, Commence'

Weekly film screening every Saturday at 2 PM. In August, we will screen the documentary 'Nagaoka Great Fireworks: Launch, Commence' (100 minutes) that delves into the history behind the Nagaoka Fireworks, one of Japan's three major fireworks festivals held in Niigata Prefecture. The film features interviews with fireworks technicians and organizers who work tirelessly to support the event, as well as citizens involved, and showcases the fireworks through over 20 cameras capturing the festival on an unprecedented scale. No registration required (first come, first served on the day).

Only admission fee required. Adults 250 yen, high school students 150 yen, free for junior high school students and younger, seniors 65 and older, and people with disabilities (proof required). Group discounts available for 20 or more. Show your 'Maido Kodomo de Card' for free admission for up to 2 accompanying adults of children under 18.
