Announcing the blooming of cherry blossoms: Hanakyusanshōkai / Hanakyu Kaishiki
An event to report the full bloom of the sacred cherry tree of Zao Gongen to the principal deity. This traditional ritual of Kinpusenji Temple, which has a history of over a thousand years, features a procession led by the procession of the slaves, followed by the demons of Mount Kinpu, children, yamabushi, monks, and finally, a grand procession with a high-ranking palanquin carried by the Kancho.

- April 10, 13:00 - Hanakyu Senbon Tsuki, 14:00 - Women’s Furin Zōka Goma, April 11 and 12, 10:00 - Daimyō Procession (departing from Chikurin-in) arriving at Zao-do, around 13:00, the offering of mochi made during the Senbon Tsuki on the 10th will be scattered.
