The 64th Koriyama Castle Festival

With the decision to broadcast the NHK historical drama "Toyotomi Brothers!" in 2026, Koriyama City is attracting attention. The Koriyama Castle Festival, held at the historic site of "Koriyama Castle Ruins" with about 600 cherry trees, features approximately 400 lanterns lit up throughout the castle ruins area (18:00 to 21:00), making it a popular spot for enjoying cherry blossoms at night. The festival features goldfish exhibitions, historical parades, white fox processions, concerts, and more on different days. It is one of the 100 famous cherry blossom spots in Japan, where you can feel the arrival of spring while admiring the magnificent cherry blossoms.
