Nagatoro Cherry Blossom Festival 2025

Nagatoro, selected as one of the '100 Famous Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan,' offers around 3,000 various cherry trees. It is packed with sights such as Nodoyama, Cherry Blossom Passage, Kitazakura Dori, Oote Sakura, Hodozan Sand Path, and the foothills. The Iwata Sakura will be illuminated from March 20 to early April, Kitazakura Dori from late March to mid-April, and the Cherry Blossom Passage will open in early to late April, coinciding with the blooming period.

The peak viewing period may vary due to weather conditions. There are usually three peaks each year. Mid to late March: Oote Sakura, Iwata Sakura Late March to early April: Kitazakura Dori, Nodoyama, Hodozan Sand Path Early to mid-April: Cherry Blossom Passage (Yaezakura). Events may be changed or canceled depending on the blooming situation.

Many parking spaces are available around Nagatoro station and near Hodozan Sand Path (charged). It gets very crowded, so we recommend using public transportation.

About 30 minutes from Hanazono IC on the Kan-etsu Expressway on National Route 140.
