Dai Fukudaji Kuwana Seiten Festival (September)

Boost your financial luck at the miraculous Kuwana Seiten.
Dai Fukudaji, affectionately known as Seiten-san in the region of Kuwana. Seiten-san is a deity worshipped in India as Ganesha, the 'God of Wealth' who brings prosperity in this world. By rubbing the 'fukubukuro' (lucky bag) dedicated to the three-faced Daikokuten enshrined in the Seiten-do, one is granted benefits for good health. The temple grounds feature stalls selling Mitarashi dango, dried goods, and Koya spruce. A limited edition gold goshuin (temple seal) is also available. On a special occasion, the Kannon associated with matchmaking is displayed for one day only. ■Notes A smaller event is held on the 16th of every month, but there are no stalls or distribution of gold goshuin.
