A spot said to have been visited by the literary giant Natsume Soseki
Said to be a cherry blossom viewing spot for successive feudal lords, it is bustling with cherry blossom viewers every year. The literary giant Natsume Soseki also visited Kurume and came here, composing the poem 'The cherry blossoms in the valley surrounded by pines'. During the blooming season, about 170 cherry trees are in full bloom, making it a famous cherry blossom spot where the mountainside appears white with blossoms. No illumination. Restrooms available.
