Visit 'Satake Glass', the only factory in Japan that has been producing glass rods for crafts since before the war. After that, you will experience melting glass rods with a burner flame, wrapping them around a metal core to make glass beads. Up to 15 glass beads can be produced in about 1 hour. On the day of the event, participants will gather at the Human Rights Materials Room and walk approximately 1km. This event is for ages 7 to 70. For the event on 5/23 (Friday), registration is open until noon on 5/16 (Friday). For the event on 5/30 (Friday), registration is open until noon on 5/23 (Friday). Participants outside the target age should consult beforehand. ■Notes It is recommended to wear cotton or wool clothing as synthetic fibers are easily melted. It is safer for knees and thighs to be covered.
