2025 Kamikochi Opening Festival
Start of the mountain tourism season
At the foot of the representative scenic spot of Kamikochi, "Kappa Bridge", we celebrate the start of the mountain tourism season and pray for safety in the mountains. There will be performances of the alphorn, and at the outdoor banquet, sake and souvenirs will be served. Approximately 3,500 tourists visit the opening festival each year. Some people take pictures after a long time in Kamikochi, some enjoy conversations with local residents, and others keep refilling their barrels of sake. It will be a day of enjoyment for everyone at the opening festival in Kamikochi.
