Nakatsu Gion

A total of 13 Gion floats from Up Gion and Down Gion, along with the portable shrines from Yaminuhama Shrine and Nakatsu Shrine, parade through the castle town. Dance performances and more are showcased on top of the Gion floats at various intersections. Designated as an intangible folk cultural asset by the prefecture, it is also referred to as one of the three major Gion festivals in Oita Prefecture.
