80 Years After the War: Chihiro and the World’s Picture Book Artists Connecting 'Peace' through Picture Books

Artists who experienced war poured their earnest hopes into picture books, vowing never to let war happen again and wishing for the happiness of children. This hope has been passed on to the next generation and the generation after that of picture book creators, planting many seeds of peace in the hearts of children. This exhibition showcases picture books that Chihiro and world picture book artists painted with their thoughts on peace, as well as original illustrations from picture books depicting war, along with messages from the artists.
