With the navigator Mr. Yasunori Koizumi (the great-grandson of Lafcadio Hearn), we will visit places associated with the 'Kwaidan' recounted by Lafcadio Hearn and a storyteller will guide participants into the world of ghost stories. Using the worldview depicted by Hearn through ghost stories and tales of spirits as a clue, we will explore the deep connection between human emotions and nature. Moreover, through cultural background and reflections on human essence, we aim to provide an opportunity to rediscover the profoundness of Shimane as seen through Hearn's eyes and the nostalgic landscapes of Japan that we have almost forgotten.
