Morioka History and Culture Museum Theme Exhibition 'Sweets - Memories of Morioka and Confectionery -'

Sweet treats that captivate us both now and in the past. This exhibition focuses on items related to 'sweets' from our collection and introduces them. What kind of confections did the Morioka clan's lord, the Nanbu family, and their retainers eat during the Edo period? What kind of confections existed in Morioka after the Edo period? Let’s imagine what the actual colors, shapes, and flavors were like, and through this exhibition, feel the desire to 'eat sweets'.
