Takeo Onsen Health Village Firefly Festival
Held every year during the firefly season.
You can enjoy the sight of about 8000 Genji fireflies living along the 750m long stream of the "Seseragi Promenade" in front of the Space Science Museum. The scene is well-received as looking like a "Christmas tree in early summer". A firefly festival is held during the same period, featuring stage events and a water tug-of-war competition.

About 10 minutes from Takeo-Kitagata IC on the Nagasaki Expressway to Health Village (in front of Saga Prefectural Space Science Museum).
Get off at Nagashima bus stop from JR Takeo Onsen Station, about a 15-minute walk.
