Hawaiian Mythology: The Chant of the Gods Passed Down (Hie Shrine)

Offering the traditional Hawaiian culture of Hula Kahiko at the shrine
Chants that praise the natural deities and the royal descendants have been passed down since ancient Hawaii and performed in the sacred lands of Hawaii. The officially inherited traditional Hawaiian culture of Hula Kahiko (classical hula) will be offered to the deities at the shrine in a ceremonial style. A special event will be held at the main shrine during the Yamano Matsuri, one of Japan's three major festivals, at Akasaka Hie Shrine. Admission is free, and anyone visiting on the day can enjoy the performance.
