Shakuhachi Concert Crossing Schools (March)

A free concert where you can listen to shakuhachi music from various schools.
The Minato Ward Hogaku Research Association features players from various shakuhachi schools, including the Fuhaku Myouan style, the Kinko style, and the Tozan style, as well as performers belonging to different factions within these schools. The repertoire ranges from classical pieces by Komuso monks to contemporary hogaku, offering a rich variety. Come and experience the profound world of shakuhachi music in a relaxed atmosphere. The performance pieces include Oushuu-den, Tsuruno Sugomori, Shinkoku, Kudariba, Shika no Toone, Nagashi Suzu Bo, Yamagoe, Yobitake Uketake, Honte no Chorō, Tenkan Gaki, Shin seki, Kokū, Iwakiyu, Tegoshi Suzu Bo, Shingetsu, Dachou, Kogarashi, Uso Suzu, Echigo Suzu Bo, among others. ■Notes No prior reservation is required, and seating is first-come, first-served.
