Special Exhibition 'Develop the Gold Mine - Approaching the Production of "The Map of Outsu Kanazawa Gold Mine"'

Morioka Clan’s Gold Mine Development Project!
This exhibition unravels the history of gold mine development and the people who challenged it through the diary of a Morioka clan samurai who was involved in the practical work of gold mine development. It explores the creator, production date, and background of the lengthy 12-meter fold-out painting "The Map of Outsu Kanazawa Gold Mine" that boasted gold production during the Edo period (present-day Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture).
