The Kutani Chawan Matsuri began as a "memorial festival" in 1908 to honor the founder of Kutani ware. It is a big event unique to the Kutani ware production area, attracting many visitors from all over Japan. There are special shops selling both high-end goods and everyday tableware. It’s a chance to look for your favorite items among numerous products and obtain them at bargain prices.
