The Anzu Festival heralds the late arrival of spring along the Shinano Road. At Japan's largest Anzu (apricot) village, a world enveloped in a pink veil spreads out before your eyes. True to its name, 'Ten Thousands at a Glance', the sight of mountains and village houses dyed in pale pink is a must-visit photo spot to bring your camera. From mid-June to early July, you can also enjoy apricot picking, so have fun with both cherry blossom viewing and apricot picking. ■Notes Shuttle bus (fee required) runs only on weekends during the period. Depending on flower conditions, operations may be suspended even during the period.
