Clear River Tenpo Shrine's Autumn Festival

The 'Nakanuchi Lion Dance' dedicated at the festival showcases impressive performances every year. This lion dance is said to be the northernmost in the prefecture, inheriting the tradition of Ise Daikagura. It is a splendid and magnificent lion dance performed by two dancers to the accompaniment of flutes and drums, featuring four pieces: the journey dance, the offering dance, the chaotic lion dance, and the sword dance. It was designated as an important intangible folk cultural asset by the prefecture in March 1976.
