【Hydrangea・Peak Bloom】Etchu Nishi Highway Hydrangea Road

The gateway flowers of Kawai Town and Miyakawa Town in Hida City
From the Noguchi area of Furukawa Town, Hida City, the national route 471 diverges from National Route 41 towards Kawai Town and Miyakawa Town. Once developed as an important highway in Hida known as the Etchu Nishi Highway. The road is constructed along the right bank of a V-shaped valley, progressing while looking down at the flow of the Miyakawa River. Giant and strange rocks can be seen on both banks, and there are deep pools in some areas of the river, including beautiful pools with legends like Hikinobuchi. During the rainy season, the hydrangeas planted along the road reach their peak bloom.
