Online Lantern Floating (Port Cloud)

Let’s deliver thoughts for peace to Hiroshima on August 6.
Port Cloud, Urban Development Working Space
8/6(Wed) 11:00~19:00
8/7(Thu) 11:00~19:00
8/8(Fri) 11:00~19:00
In Hiroshima, since 1947, a lantern floating ceremony has been held every year on August 6, organized by citizens. It is said that this lantern floating began when lanterns with the names of those who died from the atomic bomb were floated down the river. The project "Messages in Lanterns" started in 2015, marking 70 years after the war. When you float a lantern containing your message for peace in the virtual river, your words will be projected onto digital signage in facilities and throughout the city of Hiroshima. ■Notes Sponsored by: Lantern Floating Executive Committee (Hiroshima Festival Committee, Hiroshima Central Shopping District Promotion Union)
