Asama Mountain, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, is a composite volcano with a height of 2,568m made of andesite. There are two courses, the 'Volcano Museum Route' and the 'Kurofu Route,' where participants can enjoy various sceneries. The 'Asama Mountain Opening Ceremony' marks the beginning of the serious climbing season, praying for the peace of the mountain and the safety of climbers, with all participants making a commemorative climb together. *Temporary bus service available; please contact the (General Incorporated Association) Komoro Tourism Bureau in advance.
