60th Anniversary Memorial Yano Hashimura Exhibition Related Project Manabist Lecture Vol. 1 "Kondo Shakuten and the literati of Naniwa"

The Unseen Great Person of Hirakata, Seal Engraver 'Kondo Shakuten'
Kondo Shakuten, the founder of the Osaka Art School and a Nanga painter - the master of Yano Hashimura's Chinese poetry, was a seal engraver. Shakuten had exchanges with central figures of the Osaka literary world at the time, such as Kondo Nanshu and Fujisawa Nangaku, and participated in the Chinese poetry society "Shoyo Yusha." Later, he was welcomed by Hashimura as an honorary advisor of the Osaka Art School, where he lectured students on Chinese poetry. This course will clearly explain the features of Kondo Shakuten's seal engravings and calligraphy, as well as the scholars closely related to Shakuten. Additionally, Shakuten's calligraphy and seals, along with Yano Hashimura's treasured works, will also be displayed.
