Yukakematsuri
A festival unique to the hot spring town, Yukakematsuri
Following the tradition from the Edo period of offering the hot spring water from this region to the imperial villa and daimyo families, the festival features spectators along the route pouring hot spring water onto the portable shrine as it parades through the hot spring town of 'Yuugawara'. The portable shrine made by assembling wooden barrels walks through the hot spring street.
