Evening of Unnan Izumo Kagura (July)

Kagura born and passed down in the Izumo region
Izumo Kagura is said to have originated from the dance of 'Ame no Uzume no Mikoto,' wishing for the appearance of the deity Amaterasu, who had hidden in the rock cave. Currently, there are many kagura groups within Unnan City, and it has been passed down as a local folk art. The Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Hall invites different groups every month for regular performances. In July, the Fukano Kagura Preservation Society will perform a solemn dance. ■Notes The performance schedule may change, so please check the Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Hall website, etc.
