Natural Monument Shiogama Cherry Blossom
Approximately 300 cherry trees, including the rare Shiogama cherry designated as a national natural monument, as well as Someiyoshino and double-flowered weeping cherry blossom trees, beautify the grounds of the Oshu Ichinomiya. The Shiogama cherry is a splendid variety characterized by having 35 to 50 light pink petals per flower, and is known for its late blooming period.
