73rd Kitano Odori

A dance performance by the geisha and maiko of Kamishichiken, boasting the oldest history in Kyoto, held at the famous filming location Kamishichiken Kaburenjo. The first part features the new work 'Entwined Threads – Journey to the West'. It's a long song dance drama depicting the adventures of the monk Xuanzang, showcasing powerful actions and a beautiful worldview. The second part 'Evening Fun' allows you to enjoy the elegant and splendid dances of geisha and maiko to the rich melodies of the seasons. In the finale 'Night Song of Kamishichiken', all the geisha in matching black kimonos and the stunningly dressed maiko will appear in unison. ■ Notes No admission for preschoolers.
