A giant tree that has heralded the arrival of spring to Noto Town for hundreds of years. This giant tree, designated as a natural monument of the town, is an Edohigan estimated to be about 500 years old, with a trunk circumference of approximately 3.4m and a height of about 16m. It is said that a woodsman who produced the ancient bowl known as "Tengu-wan" in this area brought back seedlings from Omi, where the ancestor of craftsmanship, Prince Motokatsu, resided. Currently, it is carefully protected by the local people.
