Yodogawa Sanjussoku Boat Song Experience Class

Experience how to sing the Yodogawa Sanjussoku Boat Song
The Yodogawa Sanjussoku Boat was operated carrying passengers between Fushimi in Kyoto and Hachikenya in Osaka during the Edo period. The boatmen sang boat songs depicting the scenery along the banks of the Yodogawa River. Even after the Sanjussoku boats disappeared in modern times, the boat songs have been preserved by the Otsuka Preservation Society formed by the people of the Otsuka area in Takatsuki City. This experience class aims to promote and pass down the boat songs to the next generation by learning how to sing them in two consecutive sessions with the Otsuka Preservation Society. *Advance reservation required (Deadline: May 25, lottery if oversubscribed) ■Notes Capacity: 30 people, for details on how to apply in advance, please refer to the city website.
