Kiyoshi Hayashi (1896-1975) pursued the composition of creating mass in the flat surface of painting, while being influenced in various ways by Western painting after Cezanne. He also published essays on art and form, dedicating his efforts to his own compositional methods and their completion. This exhibition marks the 50th anniversary of Kiyoshi Hayashi's death, presenting works from the vast collection of his sketches, focusing on 'landscapes', 'figures', and 'still life', divided into early and late periods.
