Awashima Shrine Tanabata Festival
Once a year, a summer wish
The "Tanabata Festival" was started for local children. Anyone can freely write their wishes on the tanzaku placed in the precinct and hang them on the bamboo. Each person can write one tanzaku, and pens are provided on the tables. The bamboo decorations will be burned after undergoing a purification ritual.
