Sakuramigoro Hakodate Park

One of Hakodate's two major cherry blossom viewing spots
Hakodate Park was established in 1879 (Meiji 12) at the urging of the British Consul stationed in Hakodate, Mr. Yousden, and with the cooperation of many citizens. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom and the flower viewing season arrives, many people visit this famous cherry blossom spot to feel the arrival of spring.
