The subways in the former Soviet Union reflect the historical background and history of each city, creating a space rich in design, ethnicity, and artistry. I have photographed over 200 stations, including the luxurious Moscow stations that resemble underground palaces, the stunning stations of St. Petersburg, the Tbilisi stations themed around the independence movement from the former Soviet Union, and the Tashkent stations that exude an Islamic atmosphere. Through these photographs of subway stations, which have had limited exposure until now, I aim to convey their charm.
