Sakura in Full Bloom: Sakaguchi's Sugi no Baba

Cherry blossom trees lining the castle town's approach preserve its historic atmosphere
Surrounded by a clear stream and mountains, the castle town of Akizuki is known as 'Little Kyoto of Chikuzen.' About 200 cherry trees line both sides of Sugi no Baba Street leading to the ruins of Akizuki Castle, creating a 500-meter-long 'cherry blossom tunnel' in spring. At night, bare bulbs illuminate the cherry blossoms, providing a different enchanting view during the day.
