Hino Festival

The largest spring festival in the Koto region.
On the 2nd (evening festival), floats are pulled through each town in the dusk with lanterns lit, and the festival music continues late into the night. On the 3rd (main festival), three beautifully decorated portable shrines and dozens of floats parade in time with the festival music toward Bamieoka Watumuki Shrine. It is a spring festival representing the Koto region, designated as an intangible folk cultural asset of Shiga Prefecture. Let's head out to the town of Hino, which is transformed into a festival venue. ■Notes Please be careful as traffic regulations will be implemented on the 2nd and 3rd.
