Katakuri Cluster Garden Opening

Let's go meet the spring fairy!
In early spring, the katakuri blooms under the sunlight before the trees bud. Spanning 20 hectares, the pale purple katakuri flowers bloom gracefully in the chestnut forest, as if they were spread over the ground. Known as the 'spring fairy', the katakuri flowers have a short blooming period of about one month in early spring and require about eight years from sprouting to blooming, then they go into dormancy. Come and admire the ephemeral and delicate appearance of the katakuri flowers up close.
