The Setouchi International Art Festival is the largest art festival in Japan, held once every three years on the beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea in Kagawa and Okayama prefectures. It features islands famous for modern art, starting with Naoshima, and two ports, Takamatsu Port and Uno Port, as venues. The festival is divided into three periods: spring, summer, and autumn. The spring session takes place across 7 islands and 2 ports and the Seto Ohashi area. Visitors can explore islands dotted with works that harmonize with nature by boat, and experience the beautiful landscapes, history, culture, and life of the islands through art.
