Adult Art Workshop - Painting on an Ema -

At Tokyo University of the Arts, participants will listen to a lecture by a teacher from the Japanese painting research room while painting flowers on an ema. After sketching, participants will use traditional Japanese painting materials, such as watercolors and mineral pigments, to finish their artwork in an authentic Japanese painting style. The three-day curriculum allows participants to create works in a classroom at Tokyo University of the Arts and deeply experience the wonders of art. Completed works will be displayed at facilities within the ward (optional). Applications are accepted until Thursday, July 24, 2025. Open to people aged 18 and over who are interested in Japanese painting.

Note

The event will take place over three days on September 13 (Sat), 14 (Sun), and 20 (Sat), each lasting 4 hours. In the event of a typhoon or inclement weather, it may be postponed to September 21 (Sun) or canceled.
