5/15(Thu)

Kagura, taiko, and mikoshi parade through the town, and from the evening of the 15th, performances are dedicated at each shrine. The floating drum, passed down in the fishing town, is designated as an intangible cultural asset of Miyazu City and can be seen during the morning dedication or the Mikoshi procession on the 15th. 'Uke' means to float, expressed locally as 'to play in a dazed manner.' The two-person striking performed by the master class at the conclusion of the series of taiko performances, wearing symmetrical red hoods, perfectly dances and strikes as if in a daze.
