Iwayaji Temple Grand Festival & Iwayaji Temple Marche (August)

A traditional event held at an ancient temple in Chita
A large festival held on the 17th of every month at Iwayaji Temple, the main temple of the Owari Koyasan sect. A goma fire ritual will take place at the Okunoin starting from 9 AM. A sutra chanting and sermon will be conducted in the main hall around 11 AM. Exclusive goshuin certification will be available for participants in the flag procession from Okunoin to the main hall. There will be vegetable and knife stalls in front of the gate on the day of the event. A market will be held on the temple grounds. There are sales of food and goods, providing fun for the whole family.
