The 391st Inuyama Festival

A Japanese festival that has continued since the Edo period
The traditional event "Inuyama Festival," which has continued since the Edo period, will be held again this year during the cherry blossom season. It is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, featuring 13 three-layered festival floats, each 8 meters high, parading through the castle town while showcasing mechanized puppets in harmony with flutes and drums. At night, lanterns are lit on each float, and the procession along the cherry blossom-lined Honmachi Street invites spectators into a world of splendid and ethereal beauty.
