Poet and writer Takuya Kiyooka (1922-2006) was born and raised in Dalian, China. He made his debut with the poetry collection 'Hyouyusa no Honoo' and received the Akutagawa Prize for his novel 'Akashiya no Dairen.' In 'Maronie no Hana ga Itta' (1999), he depicted the artists who flourished in Paris between the two world wars. This exhibition traces his life and work through documents, including manuscripts, focusing on the two cities he loved dearly – Dalian, the 'land of fate,' and the admired city of Paris.
