Awara Onsen 20th Awara Yuke Matsuri

On August 8 and 9, we celebrate a rare nationwide event where hot spring water is poured over the portable shrine (mikoshi) at Awara Onsen. From children to adults, everyone takes up buckets and water guns to pour hot water over the mikoshi, pour, pour, pour! On the 8th, there will be a Yuke Mikoshi, and on the 9th, there will be folk dance evenings and steamed bun throwing. Anyone who comes to the venue on the day can participate in the festival.
