Seiryu Miyama's Ayu Festival

A festival unique to the nature-rich Miyama
An event representing summer in Miyama where tourists and locals interact, held annually since 1984 with the aim of 'urban and rural exchange'. The festival features main events such as ayu catching, food stalls, and bingo games. At the end of the festival, about 70 fireworks (lasting just under 10 minutes) will decorate the night sky. Create special summer memories in Miyama. *Participation in ayu catching requires prior reservation and payment online. Application deadline is August 8 (Friday) at 23:59. From JR Kyoto Station, take the Sagano San'in Line to Hiyoshi Station or Sonobe Station, then take the Nantan City Bus to 'Miyama Nature Cultural Village' and walk about 5 minutes.
