Asakura's Ladder Lion

The duo performing the lion is full of thrills
Designated as an intangible folk cultural asset by the prefecture. The lions (boars) that troubled the people of Asakura were driven away using a ladder, and the following year saw a great harvest. This was held in celebration and started as a memorial for the lions. On a 9m high yagura, a pair of lions showcases their skills and offers a dance.
