Izumi, who has been creating prints and paintings inspired by mechanical objects and landscapes seen in films and other videos, will present new works inspired by scenes from movies, magazines, and internet-referenced landscapes. Using software on a computer, various landscape images are transformed and retouched to create new scenes. Based on this, works are made that are painted on a flexible paper support, invading the exhibition space from the screen.
