Special Exhibition "National Treasure: Hikone Byobu"

The Hikone Byobu (Hikone folding screen), a genre painting in the collection of the Hikone Castle Museum, is highly regarded as a masterpiece of early modern genre painting and is designated as a National Treasure. The name "Hikone Byobu" originates from its inheritance by the Ii family, who were the lords of Hikone over generations, and it is widely recognized by this name. This exhibition will provide a special viewing of the National Treasure, Hikone Byobu, for approximately three weeks, including the Golden Week.
