Thematic Exhibition: Reconstruction of Osaka Castle

In April of this year, the "Osaka Castle Toyotomi Stone Wall Pavilion" will open. In conjunction with this, the Osaka Castle Main Tower will host an exhibition focusing on the history of Osaka Castle. The exhibition will cover the reconstructions of Osaka Castle by the Tokugawa Shogunate, which began in the 6th year of Genna (1620) under the orders of the second Tokugawa shogun Hidetada, over 400 years ago. While noting the Toyotomi Osaka Castle and the town of Osaka, this exhibition will explore how the reconstruction of Osaka Castle by the Tokugawa Shogunate was carried out and how the completed Osaka Castle was managed.
