Akita Sky Festa

The "Akita Sky Festa" is an event where hot air balloon enthusiasts gather from all over the country. Over 20 colorful hot air balloons will participate in this festival, allowing you to enjoy the sight of leisurely floating hot air balloons in the gentle spring rural landscape. During the event, a free "hot air balloon ride (tethered)" experience will be available (from May 3rd and 4th at 6:30 AM,受付is open for the first 100 people, boarding tickets will be distributed, valid only for the day). *The schedule may be canceled due to weather conditions. ■Notes There may be cases where the balloon ride cannot take place or is stopped during the experience due to weather conditions. The distribution start time may be brought forward due to congestion.

May 3rd and 4th from 6 AM – Free Flight, 6:30 AM – Experience ride acceptance (first 100 will receive boarding tickets), 7:30 AM – Experience ride begins (approximately 2 hours planned). No afternoon free flights will take place. May 3rd from 7 PM – 7:30 PM Balloon Glow, May 5th from 6 AM – Free Flight. (The event will end after the free flight concludes.) *It is recommended to confirm the event date and time in advance.
